Who is This Guy, What Brings Us Here Today?
I, Nicholaus Mitchell was born on November 7, 1991, in Labohonor Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. the only boy among five siblings, raised by a single mother who taught me resilience, resourcefulness, and love. As the middle child in a household of strong women, I grew up surrounded by my sisters, who remain some of my greatest supporters, and my mother, whose strength continues to inspire me.
My journey has never been linear. I graduated high school in the summer of 2010, and like many young men searching for purpose, I joined the military. As an 8404 Navy Hospital Corpsman, I trained to serve but never deployed. My time in uniform ended with an other-than-honorable separation. a story that still makes me smile, because it happened over something as simple as eating a cupcake in a recruit’s face. She laughed, and so did I. That moment, though unconventional, marked the beginning of me learning that setbacks don’t define us. how we respond to them does.
Entrepreneurship first sparked in me at age 14, when I started mowing lawns in my neighborhood. That small business was my first taste of independence and ownership. Years later, while sitting in an English 101 class, I revisited the idea of starting a business. not just as an assignment, but as a blueprint for my future. What began as a classroom exercise has grown into the company I’m building today.
Along the way, I’ve worn many hats. I became a lead salesman at my last job, mastering the art of connecting with people and driving results. But like many, I faced downsizing and termination. At 34 years old. just days after celebrating my birthday. I see those experiences not as losses, but as lessons that sharpened my resolve.
Now, I’m channeling everything I’ve learned into this blog and my business. My strategies are simple, and I’ll admit that I’ve leaned on AI to figure out much of the process. But the most certain thing is this: I will succeed. This space is not just about me, it’s about us. It’s about providing you with tangible information, honest lessons, and practical strategies so you can confidently take on your own dreams.
Come along with me as I share the joy, the grind, and the tedious but rewarding experience of owning a small company. Together, we’ll explore resilience, entrepreneurship, and the pursuit of generational growth.
